Local version inventory
This version uses localStorage to remember the traffic analysis choice. localStorage is browser storage, not a cookie automatically sent with each HTTP request. The contact form uses no marketing cookies and does not save the message in browser storage. Fonts are local and there is no embedded map.
GA4 has no configured ID yet. The local version therefore does not load Google Analytics or create GA4 cookies. There is no Google Ads configuration.
Necessary storage for your choice
The key is popalaw.consent.v1. Its record contains version set to 1, analytics as a boolean and updatedAt as the numeric time of saving. Its purpose is to remember acceptance or refusal, not identify a visitor for advertising.
The choice has a technical validity of 180 days from its update. An invalid or expired record is not used as consent. A browser may physically retain the data until deletion; after expiry it no longer authorises analytics activation.
Clearing site data or using another browser may remove the preference. If local storage is blocked, the choice cannot be retained between visits; access to pages does not depend on accepting analytics.
Optional analytics, only after consent and configuration
Analytics is denied by default and the option is not preselected. Google does not load before consent. Even after acceptance, an empty GA4 ID keeps measurement inactive; controls and preference storage work independently of the tracker.
Later activation requires a real valid ID and analytics consent. Consent changes only analytics_storage. ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization remain denied. Choosing analytics does not enable advertising.
Before real activation, the GA4 cookie inventory, actual durations, measurement settings and information about Google’s access to data and any transfers must be published. This draft does not assert provider durations or settings that have not been checked.
Acceptance, refusal and withdrawal
The banner offers acceptance, refusal or preferences. The footer preferences button allows a later change. Refusal does not block contact details, legal notices or other pages.
Withdrawal stops measurement and returns analytics to denied. If GA4 has been activated in a configured version, the mechanism removes only the site’s own GA cookies. Withdrawal does not automatically erase data already sent or delete data held in other Google services.
